Director of Procurement & Supply Chain - Building Materials

A leading provider of building materials to Central Texas is looking for a Director of Procurement & Supply Chain to oversee purchasing, inventory management, and supplier relationships. This key leadership role will work closely with teams across single-family, multifamily, and manufacturing divisions to ensure seamless material flow and cost-effective procurement strategies. The position reports directly to the Vice President.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor teams responsible for purchasing, estimating, and logistics to optimize material acquisition and distribution.
• Oversee ERP system data to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and ensure product information is up to date.
• Monitor stock levels daily to prevent shortages and maintain efficient inventory turnover.
• Train and guide staff on market trends, supplier relations, and product knowledge.
• Partner with accounting to coordinate inventory audits and cycle counts for accuracy.
• Identify and negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and reliable supply chains.
• Stay informed on industry trends, pricing fluctuations, and market demand for key building materials.
• Develop and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, customers, and industry professionals.
• Represent the company at industry events to strengthen market presence and supplier networks.
• Maintain accurate cost and inventory data within MiTek software.
• Work closely with single-family and multifamily project teams to ensure accurate pricing and availability of materials.
• Support estimating teams by managing and updating pricing files.
