JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President of Grants oversees the daily operations of the Grants Department, managing the preparation, creation, and coordination of grants and proposals to secure funding from government agencies and private foundations. This role involves close collaboration with the Executive Team, Vice Presidents, Department Directors, and the Grants Department to gather the necessary information for producing successful grants and proposals. Key responsibilities include research, coordination, writing, and editing, all aimed at the development and production of grants.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Grants Department.
Continuously researches available grants, projects, and proposals as identified by department staff and develops and implements presentations, including pre-proposal papers.
Manages the hiring, assignment, and supervision of grant writers and subject matter experts as needed.
Collaborates with grant writers, subject matter experts, Vice Presidents, Department Vice Presidents /Directors, and Grants Department staff to gather the necessary information for grant and proposal production.
Organizes and coordinates input for selected grants and proposals.
Writes, updates, and edits agency-specific responses to proposals as required.
Critically reviews and edits RFP/RFI/RFQ documents for submission requirements and ensures compliance with RFP/RFA specifications.
Ensures that written proposals are fully responsive to the RFP, acquiring additional information and data as needed.
Oversees the scheduling and coordination of multiple time-sensitive projects, attending and contributing to proposal meetings and debriefings.
Manages the formatting, production, and preparation process for the submission of selected grants and proposals.
Attends County, State, and Federal meetings as necessary.
Coordinates with other agencies to gather proposal-related documentation.
Maintains databases for current grants and notifies appropriate Vice Presidents and supervisors of upcoming renewals and reporting requirements.
Ensures that the department continually reviews websites and RFP contacts for newly issued grants and proposals.
Maintains and develops departmental policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
Supervises social media related activities for the agency.
Other relevant duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in English, Communications or closely related subject preferred.
Cultural Competency understanding required.
Bilingual preferred.
