Description:
Purpose of Position
Supports best practices and maintenance across multiple revenue cycle applications (i.e., patient access, eligibility, patient accounting, clearinghouse, etc.). Independently organize and manage both special projects and routine workload. Participates in operational/technical design, testing, auditing, implementing, documenting and communicating systems functions, trends, issues, and resolutions. Act as liaison with ITS and vendors supporting projects. Demonstrate expertise regarding the functions performed, recognizing trends and potential opportunities.
Description
1. Provide technical and operational support to revenue cycle teams.
2. Address service line and department requests by gathering pertinent information, analyzing complexity of requests and documenting workflows, policies and procedures.
3. Create detailed analysis documentation, outlining problem, various options and recommendations for solution. Produce written documentation to support the work, report findings to present to stakeholders when necessary.
4. Proactively identify opportunities with system functionality; identify ways to improve processes.
5. Research and understand technical documentation to support resolution and improve overall system optimization.
6. Support 3rd Party project design, test, data integration, audit workflow, and compliance to contract.
7. Plan, prioritize, and manage several concurrent revenue cycle projects, requests, and incidents effectively using time and resources.
8. Provide support to service line and revenue cycle customers, resolves escalated issues, and communicates updates
9. Perform other work-related duties as assigned or requested.
10. Challenges current working practices; identifies process improvement opportunities and presents recommendations and solutions to management. Engages and commits to the organization's culture of continuous improvement by actively participating, supporting, and promoting CCHC Pillars of Excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare, IT or related field, or a combination of education and work experience.
Five (5) or more years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations required, preferably in Professional Billing Reporting/analytics
Three (3) or more years of experience supporting revenue cycle analyticsapplications, working in Epic Professional Billing and/or Hospital Billing preferred.
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of CCHC and external users, including senior management and physicians, as well as outside vendors and consultants.
Capable of learning reporting systems and other new tools.
Epic experience with certifications in Resolute preferred. Certification required within three (3) months of employment in Epic Resolute Professional Billing Administration
Good project management and coordination skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
