The Position
As an Associate Director, Annual Planning & Launch Excellence, you will be responsible for leading the operations and stakeholder support of the annual brand planning across the US commercial organization of a pharmaceutical/device company, ensuring alignment, integration, and execution of strategic priorities and initiatives across multiple business units.
You will also support product and indication launches across the US organization by managing long-term US Commercial launch forecasting and managing contracted launch navigators and cross-functional teams to provide guidance and direction during launch preparation and execution.
For both areas, you will flex between strategic and tactical roles, depending on the timeline and scope of the projects, and balance competing priorities and demands.

The Position

Responsibilities
Annual Planning
- Partner with the Dir, Marketing Operations to set the vision, objectives and design for the annual planning processes
- Develop the US Commercial Annual Planning roadmap and action plans, and lead the execution, monitoring, and reporting on progress and outcomes
- Ensure alignment and integration of the annual plan with the organizational strategy, mission, and values, as well as with the external environment and stakeholder expectations.
- Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in annual planning, integration, and learning and development, and apply them to the organization.
Launch Excellence
- Parter with the Director, Marketing Operations to set the visions and objectives for launch excellence support.
- Manage resources and resource planning in collaboration with Business Unit partners and Dir, Marketing Operations to define and deploy the appropriate level of support from Marketing Operations and contracted launch excellence resources to each launch.
- Work closely with a contracted team of launch navigators to create integrated launch plans by partnering with brand points and key functions/stakeholders across the enterprise.
- Serve as a launch excellence subject matter expert.
- Bring novel ideas to launch readiness across all strategic go-to-market launch components.
- Drive transparency, inspection and adaptation of launch plan progress - ensuring tactical execution plans aligns with brand strategy.
- Track progress and identify risks and cross-functional interdependencies across all launch workstreams.
- Lead scenario planning, risk assessments and prioritization of critical launch activities.
- Actively manage appropriate cross-functional involvement in launch activities and decision making.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in annual planning, integration, or launch, preferably in a pharmaceutical/device organization.
- Proven track record of leading or supporting successful annual planning processes, and/or product launch.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate vision and objectives into actionable plans and deliverables.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, managers, staff, and external partners.
- Highly adaptable, flexible, and resilient, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and cope with ambiguity and change.
