St. Jude is recruiting for an instructor position as part of a NCI funded career development award (K12) in patient oriented research in pediatric oncology.

The main objective of the Pediatric Oncology Career Development Program (POCDP) at St Jude is to provide collaborative mentorship and protected time for early career faculty to engage in career development and education needed to conduct patient-oriented research. The POCDP will provide scholars 80% protected time for the structured training program and patient-oriented research; 20% effort will be dedicated to development of clinical expertise by attending in oncology outpatient clinic and inpatient service. Candidates must identify a primary research mentor and meet the eligibility requirements for the NCI supported K12 grant. POCDP candidates will be completing clinical fellowship, demonstrate commitment to patient-oriented research, and have clear potential to develop into independent physician scientists.

This is full-time, time-limited (2-3 years) position.

Successful candidates will have an MD (or equivalent) degree and have clinical and research accomplishments in patient oriented research.
Eligibility: candidates must be either a U.S. citizen or have permanent resident status.
