The HR Employment Compliance Senior Manager leads company initiatives to develop solutions for domestic and international employment requirements. Initiatives include the development of policies, processes, communication, training and accountability plans and working closely with technology to develop technology-based solutions. This individual collaborates with and influences cross-functional partners and senior leaders to develop operational and strategic solutions that are integrated into human resources and company operational practices. Responsibilities
- Initiate and lead large, cross-functional project teams to address changes in the employment landscape, mitigate risk and develop appropriate solutions.
- Effectively manage projects, including defining and holding participants accountable to roles, documenting scope, requirements, and decisions, while maintaining timelines.
- Craft policies, processes, plans, and executive summaries ensuring compliance with company policies and local, state/provincial and federal employment laws.
- Develop practical employment solutions in partnership with the employment legal team that can be seamlessly integrated into company policies, HR practices, and business operations.
- Ensure solutions and employment objectives align with business strategies by advising senior leaders, monitoring execution, educating and reinforcing employment policies and practices.
- Identify and advocate for system enhancements to mitigate risk and improve end-user experience.
- Lead direct reports by aligning goals, providing direction, coaching, performance management and recognition, and supporting development.
- Research and document new legal employment requirements and emerging trends by monitoring several resources across the HR and employment industries.
- Develop employment compliance strategies that corresponds with the company's goals to strengthen and sustain the company.
- Uphold company values and standards of conduct by acting as a subject matter expert in and providing oversight of areas of responsibility.
Qualifications

- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field; or a combination of education and work experience that yields the minimally required competencies.
- SHRM-SCP/CP, SPHR or PHR preferred.
