Description:
PACU nurses are expected to work 4x10 hour shifts from Monday to Friday, 05:30-16:00.
A 24-hour on-call duty every 6 weeks is required.
Patient-nurse ratio is 1:2.
The position allows first-time applicants.
Weekend work is required as needed, depending on the on-call schedule.
Nurses are expected to manage complicated postoperative patients, including handling multiple drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia.
Experience in managing complex patients in a Level I Trauma Center or equivalent critical care experience is required.
Nurses may need to handle patients in both pre-operative and post-operative phases.
The job requires proficiency in using EPIC, a charting system.
Orientation for this role includes 40 hours and special training modules.
