Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 8 hours, 5 days per week
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Prefer previous experience as a Registered Nurse
License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice
Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as appropriate for unit or service is preferred
Must-Have:
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with ASN
- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
- Reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities
Job Description:
- Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
- Evaluate health status through the continuous collection and assessment of health data.
- Conduct health teaching and counseling.
- Provide therapy and treatment that supports and restores life and well-being, either directly to the patient or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.
- Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.
- Review and monitor therapy and treatment plans, and document in line with regulatory guidelines.
- Utilize resources effectively and promote the mission, vision, and values of the healthcare system.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- May be required to float to other departments within the scope of competency and qualifications based on business needs.
- Potential requirement to be on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
