Purpose Brands, the parent company of Orangetheory, Anytime Fitness, Waxing the City, The Bar Method, Basecamp Fitness, and Stronger U, is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development Partnerships to join its team. The Senior Director of Business Development Partnerships (SDBDP) will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, negotiating key agreements, and collaborating cross-functionally to deliver business growth. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a high-energy atmosphere and can build strong, long-term relationships both internally and externally.

PURPOSE / IMPACT (Duties & Essential Functions)
  • Identify & Secure Strategic Partnerships: Research and evaluate potential partners that align with the company's strategic goals. Lead negotiations and manage agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Develop & Execute Partnership Strategies: Create actionable partnership strategies that drive business growth, maximize value, and expand market reach for Purpose Brands.
  • Build & Maintain Relationships: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key partners. Serve as the primary point of contact, ensuring both Purpose Brands and partner commitments are fulfilled.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Product to integrate partner solutions and ensure successful execution of joint initiatives.
  • Monitor & Optimize Performance: Track and analyze partnership performance, providing actionable insights to enhance value for both Purpose Brands and its partners.
  • Drive Positive-Sum Outcomes: Navigate negotiations and internal discussions to ensure that partnerships generate win-win results for all parties involved.
  • Manage Partnership Pipeline: Proactively source and manage a pipeline of potential partnerships that align with company goals, providing value to both Purpose Brands and its partners.
  • Provide Strategic Guidance: Advise senior management on partnership opportunities and emerging trends, offering insights to shape the company's long-term strategy.
  • Represent Purpose Brands: Act as an ambassador for the company in all partner interactions, ensuring the company's values, goals, and interests are well represented.


QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development or Partner Management, ideally within the tech, fitness, or consumer brands industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills with experience in financial modeling and contract management
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating, managing, and expanding strategic partnerships
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners at all levels, including executives
  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and leading diverse teams to achieve business objectives
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to driving partnerships and business growth
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment


Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with subscription-based business models or distribution partnerships
  • Previous experience working in a growth-stage company with diverse partner types, ranging from large enterprises to smaller businesses
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or partnership management tools

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel may be required on occasion, depending on partnership needs and business priorities.

WORK SCHEDULE

Orangetheory Fitness, an affiliate of Purpose Brands LLC, currently observe the following hybrid work model for employees at our Boca Raton (FL), Woodbury (MN), and Seattle (WA) offices:
  • Remote optional: Wednesdays and Fridays
  • On-site days: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays
