We seek a Senior Manager of Consumer Electronics (CE) Demand Planning and Supply Chain. In this role, you are responsible for managing the parts demand forecast of CE Parts Operation, CE inventory management including Excess and Obsoletes, and procurement CE parts reporting under GPCA organization. This person will supervise a team of demand planners and lead demand-planning activities, including inventory disposition of parts, developing effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns, and implementing solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy. The Senior Manager also manages inventory to ensure faster turnover preventing aging at each parts warehouses. This includes management of alternative parts ensuring allocation of parts and FIFO is observed. This person will be in charge of fulfillment of parts orders following purchasing terms and conditions. This person will serve as a lead resource in resolving invoicing, accounting, vendor authorization, and return material authorization (RMA), vendor contract, and vendor selection for partial function transfer to 3PL BPO vendor. The Senior Manager also manages vendor credit issues to increase the operational efficiency of Samsung Electronic America's Service Parts Procurement department. Manage purchasing activities following ethical business standards and established purchasing policies and procedures. Support assigned organizations in fulfilling the procurement needs and requirements of product development projects and activities. Managing teams with focus on policy and strategy implementation and control rather than development; short-term operational/tactical responsibilities. Typically, accountable for providing sufficient information for higher authority to make recommendations on budget and policies and for medium-term planning.

Demand Planning Leadership:
- Lead development or enhancement of effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
- Lead demand planners and procurement staff. Supports assigned organizations to fulfill the parts procurement needs based on demand forecast and requirements of product development projects and activities
- Enhance SOPs to adapt to change that places, processes or follows up on orders to expedite and ensure timely delivery to meet project schedules.
- Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities and address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Complies with purchasing policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the best prices and the most optimum delivery of materials, supplies, and equipment while enhancing their efficiency
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and directs the resolution of complex operational and organizational problems
- Lead recruitment and training of new employees
Supply Chain Management:
- Analyze different suppliers to obtain the best cost-effective deals
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and customers
- Control manufacturing and delivery processes
- Plan and implement logistical strategy, ensuring targets are met
- Oversee product storage, handling and distribution
- Use computer software to track goods from origin to delivery
- Work on forecasts and inventories, keeping an accurate record of the process and analyzing performance
- Manage the costs involved while maintaining quality
- Ensure you're aware of exactly what is happening throughout the supply chain
- Manage and motivate a team of supply chain staff
- Improve the overall supply chain performance and look for any possible innovations to the process
- Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers
- Manage and minimize the risks (for example operational or reputational) that could affect or interrupt the supply chain
- Consider the environmental impact of the supply chain in order to meet sustainability targets and implement new technologies and stay alert to new trends and developments in the sector.
Inventory Management:
- Manages excess and obsolete materials on and off site, Samsung owned and Vendor owned, on and off site
- Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures including resources of the SAP system. This is to initiate and perform inventory control, initiate purchase requisitions and purchase orders, prepare purchasing reports, and record purchasing transactions
- Work with cross-functional teams including warehouse, BM-Finance, GBM, and HQ factory to examine the levels of parts supply including raw material to determine shortages, backorders, and aging
- Measure parts turnover rate by SKUs and document daily deliveries and shipments to update inventory timely
- Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, parts sales, stock levels, scrap, and inventory adjustments
- Perform daily analysis to predict potential inventory problems and evaluate new inventory to ensure it's ready for shipment
- Order new supplies to avoid inefficiencies or excessive surplus.
Order Management Co- Leader:
- Provides communication of purchasing policies and practices to relevant groups of employee customers including stakeholders
- Lead team that resolve purchasing and procurement related issues and discrepancies
- Lead team that identifies and resolves invoicing problems and issues between accounting and vendors
- Identifies schedules, and performance of procurement and order management team in accordance with business project schedules and plans.
Skills and Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- A Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management or other related business field required
- A minimum 10+ years of relevant work experience in supply chain and component or part sales experience or service parts (e.g. Demand Planning, Forecasting, Supply Planning, FIFO, Inventory Control Management, S&OP preferably in a hi-tech products or consumer electronics industry)
- Solid grasp and clear understanding of basic financial and inventory measures: sales, margin, weeks of supply, safety stock, sell thru, inventory turns
- Knowledge of S&OP principles and practices
- Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to work both cross-functionally and cross-culturally within a fast-paced environment
- Read write and verbal communications skills to prepare and present plans and information to product repair, vendors and purchasing management personnel (bilingual Korean preferred by not required)
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with SAP ERP or similar business systems and/or sales order management software applications required
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, v-look-ups, formulas, macros, etc.) and other Microsoft Office products required
- Power BI experience a plus
- Travel required up to 30% (2 to 4 times per quarter estimated)
- Must be willing to report in to the office Monday through Thursday weekly

- Ability to work as an individual contributor to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications
- The ability to perform tasks and work assignments and complete clearly defined objectives using technical direction with applied knowledge of alternatives and the ability to make sound financial business decisions
- Work independently and in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames
- Must be analytical and process oriented
- Ability to negotiate on behalf of function to come to agreement by managing communications through discussions and compromise; issues are short-term operational and medium-term tactical or limited strategic nature
