The Emory University School of Medicine Department of Neurology is seeking a full-time advanced practice provider to join its inaugural Headache Center team. This position offers a unique opportunity to refine a specialized skill set to treat a population in need.

Description

This candidate will work within a team dedicated to outpatient headache medicine practice and administer clinical care and procedures. The candidate will also have access to advanced headache care through outpatient and inpatient infusions.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA or NP. Prior experience running an independent clinic and managing your own patient panel is preferred. We are looking for an APP who is committed and passionate about a career in Headache Medicine. Responsibilities include:

  • Assists in the evaluation and treatment of patients.
  • Documents the delivery of care in the individual's medical records.
  • Conducts patient interviews and documents patient histories, psychosocial histories, health status, and medical problems.
  • Under the direction of a physician, performs physical examinations and specialized diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures including on a botulinum toxin A injections, trigger point injections, and nerve blocks.
  • Assists physicians in diagnosing medical problems, developing care plans, and prescribing treatment.
