Job Description
Job Title: LICSW - Social Worker
Job Specialty: Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
Job Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
Guaranteed Hours: Not specified
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in mental health and/or healthcare, preferably with oncology or serious illness experience
License: LICSW MA state license required
Certifications: COVID-19 Vaccine and Booster required. Flu vaccine status unknown.
Must-Have:
- Hybrid work model: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
- EPIC experience preferred
- Work experience or willingness to float within hospital or to an affiliate hospital nearby
Job Description:
- Conduct biopsychosocial assessments
- Provide family, individual, and parental counseling
- Deliver crisis intervention and understand/utilize short-term therapy
- Understanding of advance directives in hospice settings
- Handle high-risk intervention for patient vulnerability or safety risk
- Knowledge of cultural issues and adherence to the NASW Code of Ethics/Standards of Home Health Care
- Work with mental health issues such as cancer, suicide, homicide, and self-harm
- Experience with child and adult protective services
- Provide clinical social work services specifically for a high volume of prostate cancer patients
- Perform clinical psychosocial assessment and intervention, including crisis response, individual, couples, and family consultation, therapy, and counseling
- Offer short-term bereavement support
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to reduce cancer-related distress and improve quality of life
- Work alongside an experienced oncology social worker in a respected and utilized social work department within the multidisciplinary team
Candidates should be prepared for compliance procedures, as orientation is on a monthly basis.
