About You
- Team Leadership:
- Manage a team of embedded software engineers, assigning tasks, providing technical guidance, and overseeing project execution.
- Strong Linux development Background in C/C++ Preferably in BSP and or drivers layers.
- Conduct performance reviews, set individual goals, and foster professional development within the team.
- Recruit and hire new embedded software engineers to strengthen the team.
- Technical Vision and Strategy:
- Define the technical roadmap for embedded software development, aligning with overall product strategy.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to establish system architecture and specifications.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends in embedded systems to identify potential opportunities.
- Software Development Oversight:
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, design principles, and best practices for embedded software development.
- Review and approve software designs, code, and test plans
- Conduct code reviews to identify potential issues and improve code quality
- Project Management:
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for embedded software projects.
- Identify and mitigate potential technical risks in the development process
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely delivery
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with other engineering teams (hardware, system, testing) to ensure seamless integration of embedded software components.
- Communicate effectively with product management to understand requirements and manage expectations
- Quality Assurance:
- Establish and implement rigorous testing automation methodologies for embedded software
- Review test results and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations
