Job Title: Occupational Therapist
  • Full-time M-F plus 1 weekend day/month
  • 32-40 hours a week depending on caseload.
  • Potential to pick more hours at one of our other 3 SNFs in area.

About the Role:

As an Occupational Therapist at Columbine Therapy Services, you will:
  • Provide appropriate therapy services per physician's orders and communicate treatment plans with clients, families, and medical staff.
  • Participate in meetings, discharge planning, and quality assurance programs, while ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Supervise direct patient care performed by Occupational Therapy Assistants, students and volunteers.
  • Provide in-services, refer clients with appropriate services, and perform duties for other agencies under supervision, utilizing their knowledge of occupational therapy techniques and equipment.


What We're Looking For:

Experience:
  • Graduate of accredited school of Occupational Therapy, Bachelor's or greater degree required.
  • Licensed by the State of Colorado as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Experience in geriatrics, long-term care or subacute rehab preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare documentation and guidelines preferred.
  • New grads welcome.

Skills:
  • Patient Assessment and Diagnostic Skills - Ability to evaluate conditions, understand patient limitations, and develop customized treatment plans.
  • Manual Therapy and Therapeutic Techniques - Expertise in occupational therapy techniques such as stretching, exercise programs, and manual therapy.
  • Communication Skills - Proficient in explaining treatment plans and progress to patients, families, and healthcare teams in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping - Accuracy in maintaining patient records, progress notes, and treatment evaluations in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Technology and Equipment Proficiency - Familiarity with occupational therapy tools, modalities, and software used in treatment and patient tracking.

  • Compassion and Empathy - Ability to understand and relate to patients' challenges, providing emotional support while encouraging progress.
  • Patience - Willingness to work with patients at varying levels of recovery, showing persistence and understanding throughout long rehabilitation processes.
  • Adaptability - Flexibility in adjusting treatment plans and approaches based on patient progress and unique needs in different settings (e.g., home, clinic).
  • Attention to Detail - Strong focus on ensuring accurate assessments, documentation, and adherence to treatment protocols to prevent errors.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork - Ability to work effectively with other healthcare professionals and support staff to provide holistic and coordinated care.


Our Total Rewards package includes a starting pay range of $41.00- $50.50/hr. DOE
