The L&D Manager is responsible for the overall management and leadership of a unit or group of patient care units within Nursing Services. This position oversees all clinical and operational activities in accordance with the organization's mission, vision, and values. The L&D Manager will be part of a collaborative and diverse team and work closely with other leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.

Position Overview:
The L&D Manager is responsible for the overall management and leadership of a unit or group of patient care units within Nursing Services. This position oversees all clinical and operational activities in accordance with the organization's mission, vision, and values. The L&D Manager will be part of a collaborative and diverse team and work closely with other leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the L&D unit's clinical and operational activities, ensuring quality care is provided in line with organizational values.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive environment within the L&D leadership team and the Women & Children's leadership team.
- Share responsibility for quality, finance, staffing, and the patient and caregiver experience.
- Focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives for patients, caregivers, and providers.
- Partner with the clinical teams to ensure quality metrics, including NTSV, are met and collaborate for continuous improvement.
- Work with the clinical nurse specialist (CNS), Perinatal Educator, and team on evidence-based practice changes.
- Lead the recruitment and hiring process for experienced staff, travelers, and candidates for the L&D residency/fellowship program.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) with a commitment to obtain BSN within two years of hire.
- At least 3 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery nursing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- At least 1 year of first-line management experience.
