YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:

Rosendin is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Business Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI to join our growing team. In this role, you will be a key player in translating business needs into actionable insights through data analysis, visualization, and reporting. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their challenges, develop effective solutions, and drive data-informed decision-making. This position requires a deep understanding of business processes, excellent analytical skills, and advanced proficiency in Power BI.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across different departments.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical designs for Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business users.
  • Design and implement data models within Power BI, optimizing for performance and scalability.
  • Perform data quality assurance and validation to ensure accuracy and consistency of information.
  • Conduct user training and provide ongoing support for Power BI tools and reports.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and IT to ensure data availability and integrity.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Present findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures.
  • Mentor junior analysts and share best practices.


WHAT YOU BRING TO US:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Proven expertise in Power BI, including data modeling, DAX calculations, report design, and dashboard development. Portfolio showcasing Power BI work is highly desired.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Able to write and understand SQL code.
  • Experience with data visualization best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with construction is a plus.
  • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Oracle Analytic Cloud) is a plus.
  • Experience with Databricks and Azure is a plus
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for extended periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions, such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
  • Noise level is typically low to medium; it can be loud on a job site.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
