Collaborate on environmental projects with our experienced team of technical professionals in Columbus, OH.
B&N Environmental Scientist Responsibilities:
- Lead/Manage stream and wetland restoration design projects
- Field investigations, including but not limited to stream assessments, wetland delineations, vegetation surveys, and construction review
- Conduct project pursuit activities including marketing, proposal development, grant funding assistance, and attending/presenting at conferences
- Read, analyze, and interpret plan sheets, technical procedures, government regulations and industry standards
- Interact with clients and regulatory agencies
- Out of town/state travel will be required within the Midwestern U.S.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in the field of Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology,Environmental or Ecological Engineering,or related degree; Masters degree preferred
- 5+ years of related experiencewith a strong background in stream and wetland restoration design preferred
- Microsoft Office, GIS, Rivermorph experience required
- Training: Rosgen Level II or higherpreferred
- Experience with natural channel design based on Rosgen classification system
- Hydraulic modeling experience a plus
- Self-motivated and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and detail oriented
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions and traverse uneven terrain
- Ability to travel up to 10-20% of time, including overnight stays
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
