Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Senior Vice President, Investor Relations to join our Corporate FP&A team.

This role provides an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative environment positioned in our Global Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis team as part of the finance function, reporting to the SVP of Corporate FP&A. This individual will be responsible for designing and producing financial communications for the Global P&C insurance segment including quarterly earnings materials, investor meetings, and management Q&A. The individual will also prepare insightful peer analysis and other ad hoc analytical requests. The individual will partner across the organization to unify company messaging.

What you'll be doing:
  • Preparing quarterly earnings presentations for Sompo.
  • Designing and developing presentations for investor meetings and conferences.
  • Preparing internal communications and external press releases on quarterly earnings performance.
  • Preparing management Q&A and scripts to support external communications.
  • Preparing comprehensive peer analysis.
  • Maintaining close working relationships across Finance, Corporate Headquarters and Corporate Communications.


What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting required; CPA/CFA/MBA a plus.
  • 15+ years of finance experience, preferably in the Commercial Insurance Market, with minimum of 5 years in the insurance industry.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to understand, analyse and succinctly summarize financial results.
  • Demonstrable leadership competencies, including the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders across hierarchies and functional boundaries.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing work priorities and assignments and deadline driven.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and Word.


Salary Range: $225,000 - $300,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.

The total compensation opportunity for all regular, full-time employees is a combination of base salary and incentives that gets adjusted upfront based on overall Company performance with final awards based on individual performance.
