Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Strategic Staffing:
Serve as the primary resource for managing staffing processes, focusing on supporting uncertified teacher pathways and the certification processes required. Create and implement long-term staffing strategies that align with district goals and needs. Oversee the screening process for uncertified teacher candidates, facilitating interviews and making recommendations for hiring. Regularly evaluate the effectiveness of the screening process, making recommendations for adjustments as needed to improve outcomes. Partner with the Professional Learning department to design and implement mentorship programs and leadership development opportunities for new and uncertified teachers. Identify key recruitment opportunities and represent the district at important recruiting fairs and events to attract qualified teacher candidates. Develop and maintain strong relationships with educator preparation programs to ensure alignment with state and program requirements. Manage the assignment of field staff to support campuses and assist teacher candidates throughout their training and certification process. Coordinate training for field staff, ensuring alignment with the support needs of uncertified teachers across various pathways.

Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy in the area of hiring/ staffing procedures. Recommend sound policies and procedures to improve staffing programs. Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other required documents. Ensure that there are processes for program evaluations, tracking certification progress and program timelines are met.

2025-2026 Salary Schedule is pending school board approval
Salary is based on working 235 days. Working less days is less salary.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Master's degree
- Valid mid-management/principal certification
Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Supervising and Coordinating Field Staff:
- Knowledge of the selection, training, and supervision of personnel.
- Assigning tasks and delegating responsibilities to field staff.
- Monitoring and evaluating performance, providing training and feedback.
- Motivating and maintaining a positive team environment.
Project Management:
- Ability to interpret data, use software to develop spreadsheets, and perform data analysis.

- Coordinating logistics and systems that support field staff and strategic staffing processes.
- Leading and motivating the project team, providing guidance, and ensuring team members are performing their roles effectively.
- Allocating and managing resources (people, equipment, budget) to ensure they are available when and where needed.
Communication and Reporting:
- Communicating effectively with field staff, administrators, and teachers.
- Preparing and submitting regular reports on project status and activities.
- Resolving issues and conflicts that arise in the field as necessary.
- Develop and deliver training to address staff needs.
- Excellent public relations, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience:
- Three (3) years principal or leadership experience in Human Resources preferred.

- Attend such conferences and communities if practice as necessary to keep abreast of latest strategic staffing practices and trends.
Other Duties:
- May be required to assist in hiring and training new field staff.?
- May be involved in developing and implementing district policies and procedures.?
- May be responsible for managing budgets and controlling costs.
- Maintain confidentiality
- Assist with compiling and reporting projections of staffing needs.
- Provide reports and statistical records as needed.
- Compile, maintain, and file related reports, records, and other documents required regarding employment, certification, assignment, salary, retirement, resignation, and dismissal.
- Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
- Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Maintain an appropriate level of technological competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief.
- Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.
- Attend board meetings.
- Occasional travel to various campuses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
