Description:

Major/Essential Functions

  • Provides hospital-based urologic care and consultation in an academic medical center with level 1 trauma center designation
  • Provides urologic care in an academic outpatient clinic
  • Participates in teaching activities including conferences and lectures, bedside teaching, and rounds for medical students and/or residents, and continuing medical education
  • Advances clinical knowledge through scholarly and research efforts
  • Performs a wide variety of urological surgical procedures
  • Provides on-call coverage, as scheduled
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
  • Adheres to institutional and departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Statement of Faculty Professional Responsibility


Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certification in Urology by the American Board of Urology
  • Strong work ethic and good team player
  • Experience in teaching medical students and residents
  • Experience in conducting research and publishing scientific reports
  • Regional or emerging national reputation for the rank of associate professor or higher


Pay Statement

Required Qualifications

  • M.D/D.O.
  • Successful completion of ACGME-accredited residency training in Urology
  • Texas Medical License or eligible for licensure in the State of Texas
