**Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It:**
  • Scout for, identify, and connect with clients who need a premium IT experience.
  • Be our ambassador at conferences, exhibitions, and industry parties.
  • Help Marketing help you with collaborative outreach and nurture campaigns.
  • Master the Optimal Networks universe and showcase it to prospects.
  • Lead consultative, C-level sales presentations rooted in ethical, solution-focused sales.

**Pay & Benefits:**
  • Up to $100k base + as much commission as you can make (NO cap on commission)

**Essential Arsenal:**
  • Experience and comfort with consultative B2B service sales (3-5 years).
  • Exceptional relationship-building and communication skills.
  • Resilient positivity that will keep you motivated in a competitive industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or other relevant field.
  • IDEALLY - Familiarity with the DC law firm, consulting firm, or association markets in a professional service sales capacity.

As an Optimal Account Executive you will leverage your skills and experience to find business opportunities for Optimal Networks.

This is a quota-carrying sales role with the support of the marketing team. You will be working on prospecting and lead development, outreach, presentations to prospects, and ultimately closing net new business for our premium and IT services and solutions.

Our unique brand of proactive and strategic service stands out in the marketplace, our messaging is defined, and we know exactly who we want to be speaking with to build a multi-year vendor-client partnership. We just need you!

Location: DMV Area.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 (Full-Time)

Travel Required: Local 75%, Out of Area 10%

Responsibilities

This position has the following responsibilities:
  • Researching and identifying prospective clients and evaluating their position in the industry.
  • Participating in conferences, exhibitions, and industry meet-ups for business development.
  • Contacting potential clients to establish a business relationship and meet with them.
  • Implementing outreach campaigns in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Qualifying self-generated and marketing-generated leads.
  • Developing a deep knowledge of all Optimal Networks service offerings.
  • Leading presentations for prospects to demonstrate the values of the proposed services.
  • Overcoming sales objections and negotiating with leads.
  • Meeting agreed-upon sales targets and quotas.
  • Maintaining professional development through workshops, professional societies, etc.
  • Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Skills

Mandatory
  • Strong B2B sales skills and the ability to get a contract sale closed.
  • Strong prospecting skills and ability to approach each prospect type with appropriate messaging.
  • Exceptional client relationship development skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills:
  • Ability to hold conversations with and handle objections from C-suite executives.
  • Ability to translate business problems into service solutions that leverage Optimal's offerings.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with strong grasp of clarity and tone.
  • Highly evolved ability to develop and deliver sales presentations.
  • Ability to negotiate sales closure by understanding prosect position and drivers.

Desirable
  • Practical experience presenting and selling IT services to the SMB market.
  • Ability to develop reports on sales pipeline and activity.

Education

Mandatory
  • High school diploma

Desirable
  • Exposure to integrity-based 'Same Side Selling' approaches and techniques.
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, or relevant field.

Experience

Mandatory
  • 5+ years' experience selling technology/IT services, with 3+ business-to-business (B2B).
  • Experience selling multi-year service contracts.
  • Proven track record of exceeding company sales quotas in a complex sales environment.

Desirable
  • 3+ years' experience providing consultative selling within an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce CRM or sales management software.
