We are seeking a full-time Manager Data Analysis who is eager to contribute to the success of a newly established institute focused on children's positive relationships and well-being. We are looking for someone who values our mission of research and impact related to enhancing children's lives and who is excited to join a dynamic and collaborative team that is launching the Institute and its work.
Under administrative direction, the Manager Data Analysis will lead efforts to conduct statistical analyses and to report findings drawing on quantitative data including, but not limited to, longitudinal data, intervention and implementation data, multi-level data, and observational, peer nomination, and survey data.

Essential Duties:
- Designs and conducts quantitative statistical analyses to explore data and to answer research questions related to: (1) children's development, (2) children's relationships with peers, family members, teachers, and others and (3) intervention effects.
- Uses techniques including, but not limited to, regression, ANOVA, structural equation modeling, longitudinal modeling, missing data analysis, mediation and moderation analysis, profile analysis, and multilevel modeling, to test research hypotheses relevant to children and their relationships
- Utilizes various computer programs and software to perform data computation, statistical analysis and other data manipulation activities, including SPSS, SAS, R, and MPLUS
- Contributes to effective research design, data collection, data entry, data manipulation, and other research-related data tasks as needed
- Creates analytic models independently and in collaboration with team members
- Provides mentoring for team members related to statistical analysis as needed
- Prepares or contributes to the preparation of empirical papers, presentations, or other reports related to research methods, statistics, and empirical findings, including writing methods and results sections of papers and preparing visuals
- Contributes to the preparation of grant proposals related to research methods, hypothesis testing, and statistics
- Remains up-to-date with statistical or methodological advances as relevant to child development and intervention research
- Attends relevant team meetings and participates in discussions
- Contributes to a positive work environment
- Establishes good communication with Institute faculty, staff, students, affiliates, and network members
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient in the use of statistical analysis software, including SPSS, SAS, R, and MPLUS.
- Proficient in the use of micro-computer programs, such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint as well as ACCESS and other database management programs.
- Proficient in common analytical approaches used in child development research, including regression and ANOVA, structural equation modeling, longitudinal modeling, missing data analysis, mediation and moderation analysis, profile analysis, and multilevel modeling.
- Proficient in analytic approaches used to test intervention effects in randomized clinical trials and quasi-experimental trials.
- Ability to work effectively with sociometric data.
- Strong writing skills as related to presenting methods, analyses, and results for publication in scholarly journals.
- Ability to complete projects with evidence of creative and critical thinking.
- Ability to communicate findings in a clear, accurate and user-friendly manner.
- Ability to use effective project planning techniques to break down projects into tasks to ensure deadlines are met while managing multiple projects with multiple teams.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
- Passion for applying your knowledge and experience to address important social issues related to children's development.
Desired Qualifications:
- PhD preferred
- Preference for degree in psychology, education, child and family sciences, social work, or related areas
- Working knowledge of SPSS, MPlus, SAS, and R
- Evidence of advanced data management and analysis expertise in the research field of human development
- Demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work toward meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously
Working Environment:
- Climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of being in a stationary position.
- Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.
- Regular activities require ability to quickly change priorities, which may include and/or are subject to resolution of conflicts.
