As a Quant Analytics Associate within the Card Acquisitions Forecast & Offers Analytics team, you will be part of a dynamic group responsible for developing marketing offers to drive new credit card originations. You will extract actionable insights from various data sources and collaborate with senior stakeholders in Product, Marketing, Finance, Costing, and Risk. This role will enhance your technical skills in credit card business models, data analysis, and quantitative forecasting methods, as well as your qualitative skills in communication and project management.
The Card Acquisitions Forecast & Offers Analytics team is integral to our Card D&A division, focusing on innovative data exploration and the application of quantitative methods to inform credit card acquisition strategies. Job Responsibilities:
- Wrangle Data, e.g., navigate data warehouse to identify appropriate sources, handle data defects, develop queries
- Leverage appropriate tools to drive efficiencies, e.g., by scaling and automating workflows
- Develop reports to communicate business performance
- Develop data-driven insights to inform and drive acquisition strategies and investment decisions
- Perform quantitative research to improve acquisitions forecast quality
- Represent the perspective of data consumers, e.g., analysts, to data producers, architects, and owners
- Improve ways of working, e.g., by identifying and closing gaps between people, processes, and systems
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics.
- 3+ years of experience in evaluating complex business problems, data analysis, and devising recommendations.
- Intermediate to expert experience with data ETL and visualization tools (e.g., Snowflake, SAS, Python, R, Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate analytics and forecasts to business partners and leadership.
- Proficiency in creating ad-hoc/automated summary views for quick business insights using Excel/PowerPoint.
- Result-oriented with proficiency in critical thinking and problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience in forecasting, automation, and process optimization domains is preferred.
- Understanding of key drivers within the credit card P&L is preferred.
- Experience with credit card business models and acquisitions marketing.
- Familiarity with on-us and off-us data, including bureau data.
- Knowledge of commonly used tools/apps for data extraction, organization, and visualization.
