Job Description

Kayne Anderson Rudnick (KAR) is seeking an experienced client portfolio specialist for the firm's wealth advisory division to be the primary contact for clients referred through the Fidelity Wealth Advisor Solutions (WAS) platform. The candidate's primary job responsibilities are to perform client portfolio manager activities by providing updates on specific KAR equity portfolios offered through the Fidelity platform and to inform these clients on the broader suite of investment solutions and financial planning services offered by the firm.

The candidate will also support the firm's Business Development Officers sales and marketing efforts in the Fidelity WAS branch system, identifying opportunities to improve existing marketing materials and helping to inform new materials if additional strategies are made available on the WAS platform.

The candidate will report to the firm's Managing Director, Business Development and this role will be based at the firm's headquarters in Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide detailed information on KAR equity portfolios to clients referred through the Fidelity Wealth Advisor Solutions platform who invest with KAR though individual equity strategies. This includes providing detailed information on portfolio performance, attribution, specific holdings and recent portfolio activity.
  • Provide ongoing proactive service and communication to Fidelity clients so as to exceed client service expectations.
  • Develop broader relationships with the clients by opportunistically informing them of additional wealth advisory services at the firm, with the goal of transitioning these client relationships from owners of individual KAR equity strategies to wealth advisory clients.
  • Support the KAR Business Development Officers with their sales and marketing efforts in the Fidelity branch network by helping to educate Fidelity financial consultants on the KAR equity portfolio offering. Assist in the management of Fidelity lead opportunities and client onboarding, along with other functions such assisting in scheduling efforts, processing marketing content requests, and managing onsite client meetings.
  • Develop strong personal relationships with the KAR Business Development Officers and Wealth Advisors to keep them informed of your activities so as to collaborate on providing consistent communication and service to the Fidelity Financial Consultants and their clients.


Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business; finance, economics or related field, or relevant certifications
  • Minimum 5 years in Financial Services sales
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets
  • Experience working with the Fidelity WAS referral program
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and support org functionality
  • FINRA Series 65 preferred
  • CFP or other planning designation preferred


The starting salary is $118,000.00 to $144,000.00

The starting salary offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This position is also eligible for a sales incentive plan.
