Responsibilities
Team Introduction
TikTok UX team is responsible for the product design of the core TikTok app. Our key vertical ownership areas include Core app Product Infrastructure, Social, Search, Creation, and Design Systems. Providing professional design methods and practices, the team helps improve user experience and working efficiency of these products and areas.
Responsibilities
- Design robust Design Systems for TikTok, a complex product, work closely with engineers to create high-quality components, and address technical challenges.
- Understand stakeholders' needs comprehensively, including business, design, and engineering, and develop straightforward solutions that enhance business metrics and collaboration efficiency.
- Possess excellent communication, project management, and problem-solving skills, and manage complex projects involving cross-functional teams.
- Stay updated with visual trends, maintain high aesthetic standards, and consistently enhance user experience.
- Quickly prototype based on conceptual ideas, design user flows using data analysis and user research, gather feedback, refine designs, and deliver products with optimal user experience.
- Continuously improve the overall product experience.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Over 3 years of UX and UI design experience for consumer-facing products on both mobile and web.
- Led multiple projects from strategy to launch with keen attention to detail.
- Skilled in rapid iteration and concept production.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain concepts, vision, and decisions.
- Experienced in collaborating with various organizational stakeholders.
- Open-minded, self-motivated, receptive to feedback, and patient.
- Entrepreneurial, adaptable to rapid changes and less-than-ideal situations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficient in A/B testing and data-driven design.
- Knowledge of front-end programming.
- Fluent in English, with Mandarin as an added advantage in order to communicate with global stakeholders.
- Enthusiastic about TikTok and its community.
