Job Summary
The Senior Financial Operations Analyst will lead and oversee the company's revenue operations, ensuring accurate record keeping, license management, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the implementation of scalable processes. Working directly with the company's executives, role will play a key part in building a strong financial foundation as the company grows, working cross-functionally to: (i) improve operational efficiency, (ii) support strategic decision-making, and (iii) improve accuracy and responsiveness of financial reporting.

- Title: Senior Financial Operations Analyst
- Location: Remote/Hybrid (primarily remote, with the ability to co-locate as needed)
- Office preference is Philadelphia
- Secondary location options: Hartford, CT, or South Bay Area, CA
Core Finance Operations
- Manage daily revenue operations, including license management and revenue recognition
- Analyze license and revenue data driving key insights to improve performance
- Build policies & process to respond to the needs of customers & sales team
- Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Coordinate with Head of Finance for timely and accurate closing of books and reconciliations
- Coordinate with Operations, Sales, and Product teams to identify and respond to customer needs
- Oversee customer licenses, budgets, expenses, and other matters across departments
- Support the team's accountants in the roles of billing, payables, and other accounting functions
- Maintain compliance with GAAP
- Coordinate and report on budget changes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including sales/use taxes
- Develop and implement scalable accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Optimize financial systems to improve efficiency
- Partner with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations) to streamline workflows
- Report directly to the Head of Finance (acting CFO)
- Support financial planning and budgeting
- Provide key insights and recommendations to improve financial performance
Education & Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Data Analytics
- 3+ years of experience in an accounting, financial, revenue ops., and/or data analysis role
- Demonstrated ability to build new processes that improve automation and reduce errors
- Startup or high-growth environment while collaborating across multiple departments
- Managing and executing in a remote or hybrid team spanning multiple time zones
- Prior exposure to Quickbooks, Maxio, Rippling, Atlassian, and/or Tableau is a plus
- Understanding of GAAP and SaaS revenue recognition
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Suite
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Data analysis and automation
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Base Salary: $85,000-$105,000 (depending on experience)
- Equity: Stock options commensurate with the role
