* A focus of this position is to have responsibilities and duties for the ongoing employee engagement survey.

*The Advisor provides key support for the Engagement survey as follows: Analyze and interpret data from the ongoing employee Engagement survey. The Advisor will identify trends, create insightful reports and facilitate presentations for leadership. They will participate in one-to-one meetings with managers and assist in developing action plans for improvement. They will track department progress, detect patterns in areas needing growth and provide data-driven recommendations to enhance employee engagement and retention.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Employee Relations Advisor provides human resources expertise in employee relations, coaching/development, conflict management, employee engagement, training, union contract guidance and other HR activities. The Advisor analyzes, evaluates and provides accurate and insightful guidance on employee issues, such as disciplinary actions, performance management, workplace conflicts, discrimination complaints, and harassment allegations, from a legal standpoint.

The Advisor serves as a trusted resource for employees and management. The Advisor conducts thorough and impartial investigations into sensitive matters. They promote a constructive approach to the employee disciplinary process and seek fair and reasonable outcomes. They ensure appropriate actions are taken in accordance with applicable laws, and hospital policies.

They will serve as the organization's representative for unemployment hearings. The Advisor ensures actions align with the strategic goals and patient centered philosophy of the medical center and are in keeping with state and federal laws. They will review and provide advice regarding attendance policy practices. They must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to employees of Enloe Health.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

Three years' experience in Human Resources (prefer a focus on HR generalist, employee relations or labor relations experience). (May substitute management experience for HR experience)

Desired:

Supervisory or management experience

Experience in labor relations

Experience with employee engagement surveys

Experience training & presenting to large groups

Bachelor's or Master's degree in human resources management, or related field

Current SHRM, PHR or SPHR certificate.

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Possesses a deep understanding of legal compliance and effectively navigates the complex legal landscape related to employee issues. Strong analytical skills in order to assess complex employee issues and identify legal risks. Must have knowledge of federal and state legal and regulatory requirements related to Human Resource functions, to include Title VII, DFEH regulations, NLRA, ADA, FMLA, and EEO. Must have the ability to relate well with employees at all levels of the organization. Demonstrates ability to interact collaboratively with a wide variety of individuals and handle complex and sensitive situations and information. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with employees who may be in crisis or conflict. Demonstrates evidence of strong skills in confidentiality, integrity, creativity, critical thinking skills, and initiative. Ability to learn and consistently apply company policies. Must have the ability to create content and effectively conduct trainings as needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Proficient in the use of multiple computer software programs; Microsoft Suite and Internet access and use. Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential and effectively balances workload to meet established deadlines. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
