Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Curriculum and Training, the Sr. Manager, Asset Management Training and Content Management position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for the development and delivery of training that addresses the needs of community development organizations and influences the Asset Management field nationwide, which requires field experience in the following:
  • Affordable multi-family housing development process or asset management
  • Affordable multi-family property operations and property management
  • Affordable housing multi-family finance with experience using the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program (LIHTC)
  • Property and portfolio performance analysis
  • Resident services and community development
  • Knowledge of adult education principles and/or participatory training methods

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Asset Management curricula by:
    • Developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy for multiple learning paths for all content areas under their management.
    • Strengthening the core courses that support the Certified Housing Asset Manager (CHAM) designation, Professional Certificate and Micro-Credential ProgIf rams for their curricula.
    • Recruiting, managing, and developing a diverse pool of independent consultants who serve as NeighborWorks faculty and curriculum developers for classroom, place-based, and online learning courses. Actively seek opportunities to diversify faculty.
    • Working closely with other NeighborWorks Divisions and staff to identify content and course needs for online and in-person training events.
    • Planning and managing the delivery of courses for National Training Institutes, Virtual Training Institutes, Group Learnings, and other online training formats (webinars, faculty-led, one-week workshops, and self-guided).
    • Training data tracking and analytics.
    • Potentially assuming responsibility for the management of up to three tracks of content, if needed.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience: 10 years of related experience with 3-4 years of experience specifically focused within the following or any combination thereof: development of affordable multifamily housing, asset management, property management, affordable housing program compliance, use of housing finance programs, or resident services. Demonstrated experience working directly in asset management.
  • Competencies, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Strong knowledge in real estate development and asset management and/or finance, including the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program (LIHTC). Knowledge of community development and public policy issues. Demonstrated ability to prioritize, plan, organize, and direct curriculum projects and programs from start through completion, including development of project scopes of work and budgets for faculty consulting engagements and other types of proposals. Some experience as a trainer and/or curriculum designer desired. Familiarity with HUD multi-family programs, Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) helpful

Working Conditions:
  • Fast paced working environment, with extensive computer use and technological communication.
  • Hybrid: this role reports to the DC, NY, Kansas City, or Boston office two days per week.

Salary Range: $76,900 - $119,900

The salary offered for the role will be based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate's qualifications/professional experience.

Purpose of Division:

The Training Division provides nationally recognized training courses, certifications, micro-credentials, and events for affordable housing and community development practitioners. Professionals enroll in our courses and certification programs to receive professional development, credentialing, and continuing education in this field of work. The division offers over 300 courses via in-person and online modes of delivery. Course enrollments exceed 15,000 enrollments yearly with revenue of over $3 million. This position plays a critical role in building out both our in-person and online learning portfolio.
