We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic startup in disrupting mobility and living space. Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative designs for vehicle exteriors, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other engineers, designers, and product managers to optimize design functionality and manufacturability.
- Conduct simulations and testing to evaluate new designs and improve existing ones.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications for manufacturing.
- Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams to ensure the feasibility and quality of designs.
- Document and present design proposals and technical reports to stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in automotive exterior design.
- Ensure designs are sustainable, cost-effective, and meet project budgets.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance in their professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical design engineering, specifically in automotive exteriors.
- Proficient in CAD software, such as CATIA V5/V6, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes used in vehicle exteriors.
- Experience with FEA and other simulation tools for validating designs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A passion for innovation and sustainability in design.
- Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations.
