Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and manage electrical systems in various building projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to sustainable design initiatives and ensure that all electrical installations comply with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for buildings including power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
- Utilize Revit and CADD software for the creation of detailed electrical designs and drawings.
- Conduct energy audits and implement energy-efficient solutions in line with sustainable design practices.
- Coordinate with project managers and other disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
- Administer construction projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations during electrical installations.
- Review and approve shop drawings for electrical systems; liaise with contractors and vendors as necessary.
- Stay updated with NEC, NFPA, and other relevant energy codes to ensure compliance throughout project lifecycles.
- Prepare project documentation, including reports, specifications, and technical data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE), EIT, or FE license preferred or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Proven experience in electrical building systems design and project management.
- Proficiency in Revit and CADD software for electrical design.
- Strong knowledge of essential power systems and construction administration processes.
- Familiarity with NEC, NFPA codes, and energy regulations.
- Experience with sustainable design principles and energy-efficient technologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
