Position Overview:
Spencer Thomas Group (STG) is currently looking to add to a Director of Sales for our team

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for building and strengthening Spencer Thomas's valued ADP Partner network and closing sales with new and existing clients. This position is responsible for establishing a high level of customer service for all Spencer Thomas partners and clients. Responsible for overall relationship and sales in the assigned region for STG. The goal being to drive sales using best practices and appropriate methodologies. ctively participate in identifying sales opportunities, new prospects and assist with developing proposals while ensuring client satisfaction. ctively participate in the betterment of the practice through tools evaluation, training, idea generation and participation in identifying internal opportunities to improve client satisfaction and project efficiencies. This role serves as a trusted advisor and ambassador to ADP as a partner, it's important to cultivate and continue to trust while promoting Spencer Thomas: our services, capabilities, and value for our clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Drive sales in a geographic area of responsibility to meet sales goals

Travels to different geographic areas to participate in joint end user calls as the ADP channel sales liaison

Report market information regarding competitors' efforts in the channel, pricing awareness, sales inhibitors, and successes in the field

Communication: Provide progress update to Sr. Sales Leadership

Collaborate with management and staff to learn about their goals and requirements

Present and explain findings to leadership team and individuals

Provide advice or suggestions for improvements that meet objectives

Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving; ability to determine solutions for customers

BS/BA in business or relevant discipline, additional certifications or degrees are a plus

Significant work experience as a Management Consultant or other relevant role

Proven experience in project management of large multi-phase projects

Solid knowledge of data analysis and research techniques

Familiarity with common business software, project management programs and systems

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • 10+ years of experience in a product sales, field sales or channel sales position with experience in a wide geographic area
  • Knowledge of the EMEA market
  • Knowledge of ADP Payroll and their solutions
  • Strong relationships with current and past ADP associates as well as leaders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job.
  • Previous ADP experience and/or similar business services, sales and/or business software experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Ability to conceptualize, negotiate and sell ideas internally and externally is essential.
  • Ability to generate and implement concepts, ideas, and plans while functioning in a flexible, constantly changing environment is necessary.
  • Must be a strong team player.
  • Superior communication skills and willingness to collaborate.

Preference will be given to candidates who have the following:
  • A college degree.
  • Experience working in a sales environment with success carrying a sales quota
  • Demonstrated ability to exceed sales quotas
  • Business-to-business experience in (HCM) human capital management, payroll, HR solutions, National Accounts, Enterprise Sales, HRBPO or talent management
  • Goal oriented and ambitious, with capacity and drive to reach and exceed quotas
  • Demonstrated cold calling sales ability, with assertive, positive and persistent style
  • Proven customer service and relationship building skills

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage sales territory for success
  • Collaborate with management and staff to learn about their goals and requirements
  • Utilize both traditional and modern tools
  • Understand situational interpretations and analyze data to identify and understand challenges
  • Present and explain findings to leadership team and individuals
  • Provide advice or suggestions for improvements that meet objectives
  • Negotiate and overcome objections from stakeholders and various levels of management
  • Suggest and resource training needed to meet challenges that may arise
  • Actively participate in the betterment of the Global HR & Payroll solutions practice through special projects as assigned or recommended
  • Build pipeline and achieve sales goals based on monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quota.
  • Responsible for identifying, prospecting, contacting, and securing new ADP relationships within assigned territory.
  • Manage all phases of the sales cycle including: MSA, Change Order addendums, and SOW's. Collaborate with Operations team to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Build long-lasting relationships with ADP Sales and Business Leaders, Client Success Executives/Executive Relationship Mgrs, Project Managers and Resource Managers to ensure additional business and drive deeper, strategic relationships.
  • Schedule team meetings, as well as presentations with ADP and value-added calls to increase awareness of Spencer Thomas's strong history as a valued, certified partner and generate new referrals.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of solutions, technology, and capabilities to solve client and ADP challenges and help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Develop strategies for increasing sales/revenue and develop an annual territory sales plan.
  • Participate in online, LinkedIn and community Payroll, HR and industry groups as well as events.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
