Direct Counsel is seeking a Real Estate Associate to join a highly regarded law firm with a strong presence in California. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex and high-profile commercial real estate transactions, playing an integral role in shaping development projects across the Sacramento region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent developers, investors, financial institutions, homebuilders, and other real estate professionals in a variety of commercial real estate transactions.
- Provide strategic legal counsel on matters related to early-stage development, asset management, financing, acquisitions, leasing, and dispositions.
- Work closely with litigators to provide comprehensive legal solutions, though this role is primarily transactional.
- Negotiate and draft purchase agreements, loan documents, leases, and other key real estate contracts.
- Advise clients on regulatory and compliance matters related to state and federal real estate laws.
- At least three years of experience in real estate law, with a focus on commercial real estate transactions and finance.
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication, client service, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
