Project Manager

Location: Fairfield, CA, Travis Air Force Base

City Light & Power, Inc. (CLP) is a company at the forefront of the modern-day electric utility industry. We support the federal government in the area of military installations and their electrical distribution systems, as well as with local municipalities in the area of street lighting systems.

We are growing our team at Travis Air Force Base and seeking a talented Project Manager (PM) to join us. Field experience in utilities and construction preferred.

Summary/Objective:

Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope. The PM will oversee all aspects of projects, set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of the project; Will work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget; Will coordinate with other departments to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will hire new talent as needed to fulfill client needs.
  • Coordinate project team personnel and resources
  • Enhance and maintain relationships with clients, project team members and senior management.
  • Compile reports regarding financial performance of the project
  • Attend and lead project meetings, including progress, pre-construction, and pre-award
  • Develop and maintain site logistics plans, in coordination with the project Superintendent
  • Prepare trade contracts and bid packages and monitor procurement process
  • Oversee cost control and change management systems
  • Set-up QA/QC procedures and conduct quality inspections
  • Communicate and enforce corporate Safety and Health Management Program

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Five-Seven (5-7) years' project management experience required (construction or utility experience preferred).
  • Previous experience with City Light & Power may substitute for project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to view time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services.
  • Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project.
  • Must have excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and able to work with various partners from start to finish.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to delegate work appropriately.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
  • You must be a US Citizen.
  • You will be required to obtain Military Base Access Security Clearance for this position.
  • Valid driver's license required with a record that meets the CLP Fleet Policy.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Salary range: $85,000-$105,000 annually plus eligible to participate in Short Term Incentive Plan.
