The North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) team is seeking leaders to restructure freight flows across the United States Non-Sortable (USNS) business unit. This role requires deconstructing process flows to identify waste, redesigning processes to be safe and sustainably efficient, communicating change across the organization, and evaluating the impact of changes. Process improvements will be focused on freight visibility, placement, velocity, and click to delivery speed. This role will lead a decentralized team; you will continue to work out of your current FC, while leading operators and partnering with stakeholders across the US. This position is required to be in office 5 days per week.

As the Senior Program Manager, you will be at the leading edge of process improvement and changing standards for USNS. You will build and support a team of skilled operators as they design, test, and implement mean-shifting process improvements that improve cost-to-serve. You will support a variety of kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives, providing guidance to operators and support teams across USNS. You will provide weekly executive-level reporting and communication about the projects your team delivers.

You will continue to sit out of your current FC or facility. You will not be required to relocate.

Key job responsibilities

- Lead a team of diverse operators and create operating rhythms for the newly formed team

- Evaluate current state using lean techniques, Amazon tools, and data analysis

- Design process improvements with systems or design thinking methodologies

- Contribute to and facilitate kaizen and continuous improvement events

- Work directly with cross-functional teams (including AFT, ACES, LineHaul, ROC, SCOT, S&OP) to deliver network wide improvements

- Work with program managers and business leaders to communicate and impact critical business initiatives

- Engage other Amazon business units globally to discuss best practices

- Deliver executive-level verbal and written briefings weekly

- Expect to travel up to 50%, as required

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years of team management experience

- Are you able to work onsite 5 days per week

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $225,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
