Our Digital Oil Field (DOF) business unit provides consulting, technology integration and project delivery (on matters such as production surveillance, process optimization, production allocation, and forecasting solutions) to help improve our customers' oil field performance and management
Role & responsibilities
IPCOS Inc. (Houston) is recruiting a Digital Oil Field Consultant to participate in major Digital Oil Field (DOF) projects with US customers and contribute to the growth of our US DOF business.
As a Digital Oil Field Consultant, you will be responsible for delivering projects to IPCOS' upstream Oil & Gas clients. Your role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting real-time systems that improve production surveillance, optimize production, and enhance allocation and forecasting. You will collaborate with production engineers and supervisors to streamline production processes, enhance artificial lift systems, and implement efficient digital workflows.

Profile
- You have a Petroleum Engineering degree (minimum Bachelor's).
- You have 7 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, particularly in production engineering and operations.
- Knowledge of artificial lift systems is a must.
- A strong affinity for data integration and modeling is essential.
- Familiarity with and affinity for the following would be a major plus:
- Concepts of Nodal Analysis and Flow Modeling software
- Data sources (e.g., OSI PI, Oracle, and SQL)
- You have strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Collaboration within a global and virtual team excites you, as well as having direct interactions with customers and building strong client relationships.
- You are ready to tackle projects hands-on, while showing energy, drive, and an entrepreneurial attitude.
- You have a proactive, self-starter attitude, along with a willingness to take ownership and lead projects.
- Project Management skills would be a valuable asset.
- You currently reside in the United States.
- You're open to traveling across the US, ranging from short-term assignments (weeks) to potentially longer assignments (several months up to 1 year).
