Duties and Responsibilities

Financial Reporting
  • Manage the preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements and reporting packages, including multi-currency consolidation and coordination across multiple divisions.
  • Ensure the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of financial results through close collaboration with divisional finance teams.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies in the monthly close process to shorten reporting timelines and reduce bottlenecks.
  • Prepare the annual audited consolidated financial statements in accordance with ASPE.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, coordinating the audit process across all Brandt divisions and ensuring timely responses and alignment between auditors and divisional finance leaders.
  • Compile consolidated information required for income tax reporting, manage the timing of divisional deliverables, and draft corporate income tax returns.
  • Prepare financial reporting packages for external parties in accordance with required timelines and formats.

Ad Hoc Analysis
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and modeling to support executive decision-making.
  • Analyze financial trends, key variances, and business drivers to deliver actionable insights.
  • Support the VP of Finance with high-priority projects, reporting, and presentations for leadership.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and other planning activities as needed.

Required Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership of projects and deadlines while developing collaborative relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, or activities, and to prioritize effectively.


Required Experience

  • CPA (CA, CMA, or equivalent) designation required, with 5-7 years of progressive responsibility and relevant experience.
  • Consolidation and full-cycle accounting experience required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with ERP systems considered an asset.
