Job Title: Phlebotomist
Job Specialty: Phlebotomy

Shift: 8H Evening, Night Primarily 1 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. with possible night shift coverage 10:30 p.m. - 7 a.m.
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years
License: WA MA-P License required
Certifications: BLS
Must-Have:
- Proficiency in phlebotomy for adults, children, and newborns (heel stick)
- Experience with hospital draws
- Experience with Beaker/EpicLIS System
Job Description:
- Perform phlebotomy tasks in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency departments.
- Use the Epic/Beaker EMR system and other lab-related software.
- Manage and conduct hospital draws efficiently.
- Work primarily during the afternoon and evening shifts with potential night coverage.
- Rotate weekend shifts as needed with potential holiday coverage.
- Collaborate with multiple departments to provide a cohesive patient care experience.
- Maintain professionalism in dress code, adhering to department-specific guidelines.
- Participate in orientation to understand departmental operations and procedures.
- Handle phlebotomy for various lab areas such as hematology, serology, chemistry, coagulation, microbiology, and blood bank.
- Adapt to a small hospital environment that supports teamwork and cooperation among staff members.
