Description
NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center is seeking a Dental Hygienist Supervisor & Outreach Coordinator to supervise and support the Dental Hygiene team and collaborate with other NorthPoint Health & Wellness departments on community outreach events and initiatives, as well as managing dental outreach programing. This position must be able to perform all aspects of a licensed dental hygienist in compliance with Minnesota Board of Dentistry (3100.8500 & 3100.8700).
Location and hours:
This position is hybrid and will be performed both on-site at the NorthPoint Health & Wellness Center, 2220 Plymouth Avenue North, Minneapolis, MN 55411, and remote as job duties require. Work hours will be Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. While this position is designated as hybrid, based on current requirements hires must reside in or relocate to Minnesota or Wisconsin.

In this position, you will:
- Supervise and provide work direction to dental hygienists to ensure the attainment of department and program objectives.
- Assure staff development through performance appraisal, personal development and training.
- Perform supervisory functions including adjusting grievances, giving out disciplinary actions, hiring/terminating staff, assigning work, and providing team coordination.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Clinic Manager to develop and implement policies and protocols.
- Assist in the strategic planning, development, implementation, management, and evaluation of outreach initiatives and programming.
- Propose, develop, write and manage grant applications, records, and report.
- Prepare grant budget; monitor expenditures and revenue.
- Provide leadership to further department-based strategies that align with county goals, mission and core values for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
Need to have:
- One of the following:
- Six years or more of professional work experience in a related program area.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in public health, public administration, community health, environmental health, dental hygiene, nursing, behavioral/social science or other field appropriate to the position and two years or more of professional work experience in a related program area.
Nice to have:
- Possession of an un-restricted license to practice dental hygiene issued by the Minnesota Board of Dentistry.
