As a FileMaker Specialist you will be responsible for implementation and support of scalable high-quality and high-performance FileMaker applications, responding to the needs of our Field QA Inspection and Training teams, and others whose needs are only uncovered through collaborative planning. FileMaker is used to deliver superior efficiency programs, as an integral part of operations. Software Business Analyst - FileMaker Specialist responsibilities include gathering requirements for software solutions, determining solution approaches, and performing implementation tasks that ensure the solution aligns with the PSD product roadmap and customer requirements. A Software Business Analyst will be expected to communicate well and frequently with agile teams, product owners, client representatives, and clients. A high level of commitment and professionalism is expected throughout the software development lifecycle including client communications, requirements gathering, acceptance testing, and customer support.

What will you do?
Document product use cases and other specifications
Analyze software requirements
Understand product roadmap and positioning
Participate in design, planning, and estimation discussions regarding software features and enhancements
Write software code to maintain and enhance our applications
Create software tools to support a dedicated team of internal users
Apply software design following industry best practices
Analyze software issues through software debugging
Generate software documentation
Perform software testing and diagnostics
Other tasks as assigned

Need to Have:
Bachelor's Degree in IT or Business Administration related field, or equivalent experience
Prior software requirements gathering, documentation, and configuration experience, 3-5 years
Minimum 2 years of experience as a FileMaker developer
Experience with FileMaker Server and FileMaker Go
Software project management experience
Understanding of the SDLC
Familiarity with web applications
Experience testing web application software
Demonstrated ground-up creation of deployed solution

Nice to Have:
Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field
Knowledge of other programming languages (Java, Ruby, PHP, Python, JavaScript)
Knowledge of software standards such as REST, JSON, XML, HPXML, SQL
Experience with Claris Connect or other workflow integration services
Familiarity with FileMaker Server Deployment and data migration
Claris Developer Certification
Working knowledge of Energy Efficiency programs
Fundamental knowledge of UX and UI design
A deep understanding of Relationship Context
Working knowledge of Salesforce
Experience with Tableau, Power BI, or other reporting tool
Experience with MS Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint

This can be a remote or office-based hybrid position. Flexibility to come to a PSD office on an occasional basis is desired but not required.

Physical Demands: Frequent use of the computer requiring periods of sitting and close audio-visual concentration. Physical demands are minimal and typical of similar jobs in comparable organizations.
