AWS API Gateway Technical Lead
1. API Design:
Define API endpoints, request/response structures, and overall API architecture, ensuring they are well-documented
and easy to use.
2. Technical Solution:
Deliver the overall technical solution for APIs and microservices, including related platforms and areas.
3. Proof of Concept (PoC):
Lead the technical team to perform Proof of Concept (PoC) on solutions and components.
4. Technical Reviews:
Arrange and perform regular technical reviews of the solution and application.
5. Scalability and Performance:
Ensure APIs are designed and implemented to handle anticipated traffic and performance requirements.
Development & Deployment:
1. API Development:
Oversee the development and implementation of APIs, ensuring they meet quality standards and performance
requirements.
2. Deployment:
Manage the deployment of APIs to production environments, ensuring a smooth and reliable rollout.
3. Version Management:
Implement and manage API versioning strategies to ensure backward compatibility and facilitate future development.
Security & Compliance:
1. Security:
Implement and enforce security measures to protect APIs and the data they handle, including authentication, authorization, and encryption.
2. Compliance:
Ensure APIs comply with relevant industry regulations and standards.
Monitoring & Maintenance:
1. Monitoring:
Implement monitoring and alerting systems to track API performance and identify potential issues.
2. Maintenance:
Address any issues or bugs that arise in APIs, ensuring they are resolved quickly and efficiently.
3. Continuous Improvement:
Continuously evaluate and improve APIs based on performance data, user feedback, and emerging technologies.
Roles & Responsibilities
An AWS API Gateway Technical Lead, primary responsibility includes the entire API lifecycle, from design and
development to deployment and maintenance, ensuring APIs are robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with
industry best practices. Lead the technical team, perform technical reviews, and ensure APIs effectively serve
both internal and external users.
Salary Range- $110,000-$140,000 a year
