The Senior Manager Corporate Accounting - Special Projects Contract is an integral part of the Corporate Accounting team whose primary responsibilities will be to oversee the EPM Project implementation for the Corporate team and support ongoing public reporting during the project timeline as well as other special projects.

Scope of the position
The Senior Manager Corporate Accounting - Special Projects Contract is an integral part of the Corporate Accounting team whose primary responsibilities will be to oversee the EPM Project implementation for the Corporate team and support ongoing public reporting during the project timeline as well as other special projects.
Key Activities
- Consolidation subject matter expert for the implementation of One Stream for the Corporate Accounting team
- Preparation and review of quarterly financial statements, notes disclosure for financial statements and MD&A documents
- Review, prepare and analyze monthly reconciliations for various corporate level general ledger accounts
- Preparation of quarterly covenant compliance calculations and reporting
- Timely completion of project deliverables within timelines
- Addressing key reporting needs to ensure delivery within the project timelines
- Testing of consolidation impacts on system implementation as assigned
- Timely and appropriate escalation of any defects
- Risk management and identification of key potential risks to the project
- Effective and timely communication across project stakeholders
- Change management champion for corporate accounting
- Month end and quarter end corporate activities as assigned
- Other ad hoc activities as assigned
Experience & Education:
- 8-10 years of experience in accounting preferred; including EPM system implementation and corporate accounting team preferred
- Public company external reporting experience
- Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
- Possess professional accounting designation (CPA)
- Strong Knowledge of IFRS
- Experience with accounting software, specifically OneStream, Oracle Hyperion HFM and Yardi
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong technical and analytical skills as well as strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong technical knowledge of financial accounting consolidation rules
- Experience with public company reporting
- Knowledge of EPM systems (One Stream and/or Hyperion preferred)
- Experience in execution of EPM system implementation
- Strong project management skills
- Excel proficiency is mandatory
- Ability to manage and validate large amounts of data
- High degree of integrity and professionalism. Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
- Easily adapts to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), a consultative and collaborative style, and the ability to participate effectively within a team.
- The ability to organize and prioritize work to meet defined deadlines in a large fast-paced work environment
