Job Description
Purpose:
The Assistant Director of Community Affairs and Outreach, Ambulatory Care Services, is a strategic leadership position responsible for driving the growth, visibility, and utilization of our ambulatory care offerings. This role will lead targeted marketing efforts to increase awareness of our services, improve patient acquisition and retention, and build strong relationships within the community. The Director will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive outreach strategies that promote our full spectrum of ambulatory care services, including urgent care, primary care, specialty care, diagnostics, and surgical services. This position will directly contribute to the growth of our patient base, strengthen our market position, and align with the organization's strategic goals to achieve financial sustainability and enhance patient satisfaction.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Community Affairs is charged with and responsible for:
Growth of Ambulatory Care Services
a. Lead marketing efforts to drive awareness and utilization of the full spectrum of ambulatory care services, including urgent care, primary care, specialty care, diagnostics, and surgeries.
b. Develop and execute marketing campaigns tailored to the outpatient care market, ensuring alignment with organizational growth objectives. Increased Competition in the Outpatient Market
a. Develop strategies to differentiate the organization in a competitive healthcare market, emphasizing unique value propositions of our ambulatory care offerings.
b. Manage targeted marketing and outreach campaigns to build brand recognition, highlight service excellence, and attract patients. Strengthening Community Relationships
a. Establish and nurture relationships with local community organizations, providers, and health networks to enhance outreach efforts and increase referrals.
b. Represent the organization at community health fairs, local events, and partnerships to build trust and engage with the community. Improved Patient Education and Engagement
a. Create patient-friendly materials and digital content that educate the community about available ambulatory services.
b. Develop and implement educational initiatives, such as webinars and informational sessions, to empower patients in making informed healthcare decisions. Digital Marketing and Web Development
a. Oversee the development, optimization, and ongoing management of the organization's website, ensuring that it is user-friendly, informative, and aligned with the needs of prospective and existing patients.
b. Work closely with the web development team to enhance the digital patient experience, including scheduling, finding information, and navigating ambulatory care services.
c. Implement SEO and SEM strategies to increase online visibility, drive website traffic, and generate leads for ambulatory services.
d. Manage digital marketing channels (email, social media, paid ads, etc.) to ensure consistency in messaging and engage with target audiences effectively. Data-Driven Decision-Making
a. Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as patient volume, service line growth, patient retention, and outreach campaign effectiveness.
b. Use data insights to adjust strategies and optimize resource allocation to ensure high ROI on marketing campaigns. Alignment with Strategic Goals
a. Ensure that all marketing and outreach activities align with the organization's strategic goals to expand ambulatory care services, improve patient access, and achieve financial sustainability.
b. Collaborate with leadership to ensure marketing initiatives contribute to the long-term success and growth of outpatient care offerings. Expected Impact:
a. Increase in Patient Volume: Through targeted marketing, campaigns will generate increased patient visits across a variety of ambulatory services, driving growth.
b. Improved Patient Retention: Proactive engagement strategies will enhance patient loyalty, resulting in increased retention and repeat visits for ongoing care.
c. Brand Recognition: Marketing efforts will build awareness of our ambulatory care services within the community, positioning the organization as a trusted leader in the outpatient care market.
d. Cost-Efficiency: An integrated marketing strategy will yield higher ROI, ensuring the organization gets the maximum benefit from outreach efforts while minimizing the need for broad, untargeted advertising.

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Science, Social Work, Public Health or related discipline and three (3) years of full-time, progressively responsible experience in the field of community relations, community organization, public health and/or social services in a public or private social or health agency; or
2. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience. However, all candidates must have minimum of a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's Department of Education or a recognized accrediting agency.
