Summary:

This position is responsible for increasing the company's revenues by achieving sales objectives within an assigned territory and achieving maximum sales volume consistent with sales projections.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for increasing revenue by achieving sales objectives in existing and new accounts.
  • Create and manage territory and account strategies to deliver on price and mix objectives.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of market conditions (i.e., current customers, potential customers, competitors) in assigned territory and develop a strategy to achieve revenue goals.
  • Use account management skills to plan and execute customer marketing/growth programs for customers.
  • Provide exceptional customer experience for business partners and prospects to develop long-term business opportunities.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with current customers and key strategic partners.
  • Meet or exceed sales goals for the segment assigned.
  • Ensure accounts meet contractual requirements.
  • Work closely with internal sales team and independent sales agencies to maintain and grow business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e., customer service, marketing, etc.) to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve business objectives
  • Take lead in training internal sales teams.
  • Make sales calls at all levels of distribution.
  • Control expenses with corporate guidelines.
  • Other job activities as assigned.


Essential Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree preferred; 5+ years' experience with automotive aftermarket sales. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication while being personale and professional
  • Ability to be self-motivated with a sense of urgency
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office and other computer programs, as required
  • Strong negotiating skills to conduct territory analysis and planning
  • Strong understanding of how to manage territory business
  • Ability to identify and resolve customer issues and challenges in a timely and effective manner
  • Ability to develop trust and credibility with key account contacts
  • Strong conceptualization skills augmented by diplomacy
  • Proactively listen and address customer needs and issues including the ability to anticipate key accounts short-term and long-term needs
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to convert concepts into tactical plans
  • Ability to travel, as required

  • Vehicle for traveling to customers locations
  • Sales Presentation Materials: Brochures, product catalogs and other marketing materials
  • Basic hand tools
  • Pallet jack: during a conversion process

  • Safety glasses and hearing protection as required.
  • ESD smock and grounding equipment as required.
  • Safety shoes, work gloves, dust masks, as required during a conversion process
