Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Specialty: Oncology

Job Duration: 12 Months

Shift: 8 Hour Days

Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in oncology infusions

License: Registered Nurse

Certifications:
- Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification through Oncology Nursing Society (ONS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must-Have:
- Current Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification through ONS
- 1 year of experience working in oncology infusions
- Good IV skills and experience accessing/using implanted ports

Job Description:
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and supportive infusions and injections
- Work alongside the provider during weekly clinics
- Provide patient education and support
- Manage patients on oral medications
- Assist in ordering and scheduling tests and procedures
- Utilize equipment including Evident/Thrive EMR, Baxter IV pumps, and vital sign monitors
- Solo responsibility in the infusion center with onsite pharmacy and ER physician support as needed
- No floating to other units or departments
- Nurse to patient ratio is 1 RN to 2 patients
- Dress code is scrubs
- New Hire Orientation, EMR training, and RN checkoff related clinical skills and other tasks are provided
