Nurse Practitioner Physician Assistant Gastroenterology Detroit Full Time Days

• Provides emergent, inpatient and/or outpatient medical care with the supervision but not necessarily the presence of a qualified physician member of the medical staff.
• Takes patient history, performs physical examination, orders and interprets tests, makes diagnoses and institutes appropriate treatment programs. Works in collaboration with staff physicians, house officers, nurses and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.
• Specific procedures are individually credentialed as indicated by training and experience.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in Nursing.or Bachelor's Degree; completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistant program

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Certified Nurse Practitioner. Licensed as a Registered Nurse.or Physician Assistant Michigan state licensure and continued certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA)

Current BLS or ACLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department.
