Job Overview
The AML Compliance Due Diligence and Monitoring Team is looking for a driven and self-motivated individual to join the team. The AML Compliance Customer Screening Senior Analyst completes reviews of customer screening alerts for negative news, sanctions, and other risk activities, including high priority and sensitive alerts, to determine if the subject of the alert is a customer of the firm and then determine the risk posed by the activity identified for potential escalation.

$71,700-$119,500/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. Job Overview

The AML Compliance Customer Screening Senior Analyst completes reviews of customer screening alerts for negative news, sanctions, and other risk activities, including high priority and sensitive alerts, to determine if the subject of the alert is a customer of the firm and then determine the risk posed by the activity identified for potential escalation.
What will you do?
The responsibilities of AML Compliance Customer Screening Analyst include but are not limited to:
- Reviews screening alerts related to negative news, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), Information Sharing 314(a), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), cannabis related businesses, and other high other high-risk industries to determine if the alert is a match to a firm associated entity or individual.
- Upon an identified match, determines the risk posed and the appropriate escalation path either within or outside the department.
- Participates in supporting management with responding to legal, regulatory, or internal audit inquiries as warranted.
- Assists management in providing training and guidance to more junior team members.

What skills, experiences, and education are required?
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of experience in financial crime in such activities as conducting suspicious activity alert reviews for money laundering or fraud, customer screening reviews, or testing controls related to money laundering or fraud.
- Strong knowledge of the brokerage and advisor industry.
- Strong knowledge of AML laws, regulations, and industry best practices including, but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, Financial Action Task Force (FATF) recommendations, and Office of Foreign Assets (OFAC) Regulations.
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills, desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present information in differing degrees of details and form depending on the audience.
- Ability to identify risk issues related to financial crime, knowledge to provide guidance when warranted, and insight to appropriately escalate issue to others for further guidance.
- Developing strategic thinking to understand how the work they do impacts the overall AML program and fits into the broader mission of the firm.
- Strong knowledge of LPL's business model and operational processes.
Preferences
- Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMs) Certification
- FINRA License Series SIE, 7 or 24
