The Non-Volatile Engineering Group (NVEG), a division within the Technology and Products Group (TPG), is dedicated to advancing non-volatile memory technologies like NAND. Our primary mission is to innovate and develop groundbreaking solutions that improve the performance and reliability of non-volatile memory products.

Job Description
Designs, defines, and implements complex system requirements for customers and/or prepares studies and analyzes existing systems. Determines system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates the design of subsystems and the integration of the total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead team of architects to deliver a 1-3 year forward-looking roadmap defining technology test solutions spanning HW and SW components vital to enable validation of next-generation products.
  • Architectures must span core SSD technologies, NVMe, PCIe, MCTP, SMBus, I2C, USB, used in grey and white box testing.
  • Communicate status, issues, concerns, and strategies optimally to collaborators, including developing appropriate indicators.
  • Continuously review, monitor, and document test infrastructure improvements and drive adoption across Firmware and Validation teams worldwide.
  • Must have at least 5 years of proven experience resolving system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
  • Coordinates the design of subsystems and the integration of the total system. Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or engineering.
  • 10- 15+ years of experience in SSD firmware validation and PC system-level technologies.
  • 7 years of proven knowledge with SSD architecture and FW design principles.
  • Solid understanding of Python and C/C++.
  • Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience debugging NVMe/PCIe protocol issues using Lecroy/Viavi analyzers.
  • Hands-on experience debugging SMBus, USB, I2C protocols
  • A minimum of 5 years of proven track record is needed to prepare comprehensive validation architecture roadmaps to address future market trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
  • Required: 7+ years planning and tracking experience, emphasizing results, project management, and task prioritization.
  • Excellent knowledge of system storage and its relationship to platform components such as CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, and OS.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5 years of technical management experience leading an engineering team of 10+ engineers.
  • 7 years of knowledge with system storage and its relationship to platform components such as CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, and OS.
  • 5 years of solid understanding of modern security frameworks like SPDM and TCG.


The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$170,500.00 - $298,500.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training.
