Job Summary and Qualifications
The NATE (Next-generation Analytics Throughput and Efficiency) Throughput Director plays a critical role in advancing Hospital Case Management's Technology Agenda, with a strong focus on the Next-Gen Analytics for Throughput and Efficiency Platforms. Key responsibilities include owning, leading, and driving the development of strategies and prioritization efforts to optimize NATE as part of future state case management processes and workflows.
As a liaison for Case Management Services, the Director will work closely with the NATE team, Group and Division Leadership, the Information Technology Group (ITG), Parallon-Automation, Performance Improvement - Throughput, and Digital Transformation and Innovation (DT&I) Inpatient Throughput teams. The role involves shaping the strategic direction for systems, workflows, automation, data science methodologies, artificial intelligence (AI) applications, and system integration. It also includes coordinating efforts across multiple teams to support business leadership in continuously improving key focus areas. This position requires close collaboration with Wellsky/CarePort and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to drive system optimization and enhance operational efficiencies.
Serving as a subject matter expert in technology and innovation, the Director will oversee the end-to-end implementation of case management related technologies, ensure their ongoing functionality, and address enhancement or optimization needs.
This position demands a strategic thinker with excellent communication and motivational skills, along with an executive presence. The Director must effectively engage with senior organizational leaders across diverse work styles and personalities while leading the staff responsible for supporting team technology and operational processes.

- Conducts continuous evaluations of system/technology standards, processes, and practices to ensure Hospital Case Management aligns with best practices and complies with current industry standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves traveling to facilities to assess workflows and optimize processes.
- Support other areas within Case Management services where technology tools and initiatives overlap
- Creates strategic documentation, including actionable and realistic plans to facilitate a smooth transition to HCA hospital case management. This encompasses developing business requirements, designing process flows, conducting user acceptance testing, providing project updates, and delivering impactful business presentations.
- Evaluates all releases and enhancements to identify their potential value in enhancing hospital case management efficiencies and patient-centered care, and communicates findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Hold strong organizational skills and the ability to proactively prioritize needs to effectively manage resources.
- Demonstrate the ability to foster team building and a collaborative environment.
- Supports Hospital Case Management with future technology automation partnerships and processes
- Deliver information in a clear, concise and compelling manner.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to champion hospital case management technology and innovation across HCA
- Ensures a comprehensive understanding of all corporate policies and procedures relevant to the role and effectively communicates this knowledge. Provides guidance to HCM leadership on necessary policy updates or modifications.
- Demonstrates willingness and ability to lead others.
- Acts as a Change Agent and Advocate, supporting CM colleagues in embracing and adapting to technology advancements and workflow improvements.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree required
- Masters degree preferred
- Clinical experience and/or Hospital Case Management Experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of Healthcare Operations Experience with at least 3 years leading Technology Development and end-to-end technology implementations in Healthcare setting required
- Informatics, Analytics, Technology Implementation experience required
- The job may require up to 25% travel
