Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) plays a critical role in the care of patients with serious and life-threatening conditions. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse to join our team and help deliver high-quality care to our patients during their most critical times.

Position Overview:
As an ICU Nurse at Glens Falls Hospital, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to monitor, assess, and manage patient conditions, while providing emotional support to patients and families.

Key Responsibilities:
Assess, monitor, and manage patients in critical condition, including those requiring ventilator support, IV medication, and other intensive care interventions.
Administer medications, treatments, and other interventions as prescribed.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, ensuring timely documentation.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide emotional support to patients and families, offering guidance and education on care procedures and treatment options.
Monitor and manage complex medical equipment, such as ventilators, infusion pumps, and cardiac monitors.
Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions and adjust care as needed.
Adhere to all hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and safety standards.
Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:
Graduation from a Registered Professional Nursing Program
Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred; new hires will be required to complete their BSN within 5 years of hire (RNs with 20+ years of experience may be eligible to opt for certification completion rather than BSN)
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an ICU or critical care setting preferred.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification & ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-centered approach to care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $34.00 to $58.74 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
