You will be the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager for the THAAD Program Production Engineering team. Our team is responsible for supporting the production of the THAAD program, ensuring seamless manufacturing processes, and collaborating with government customers, multiple Lockheed Martin Business Units, and supplier locations.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineering Associate Manager, you will be responsible for leading a matrixed organization of Program Production Engineers, serving as the primary point of contact for manufacturing-related events and issues, and working closely with the Production Operations Sr. Manager to allocate resources and prioritize issues.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading Manufacturing Process Validations (MPV) and factory process support across multiple sites and suppliers
Managing Control Account Management (Earned Value) of labor and travel budgets
Providing proposal support, manufacturing plans, and transition plans
Addressing program-related manufacturing or tooling issues
Contributing to annual performance assessments and identifying skill gaps and talent development opportunities

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a engineering discipline with at least six years of manufacturing experience or at least five years of manufacturing experience with a Master's degree in a technical discipline.
Experience working with multi-functional teams including members from Quality Assurance, ESH & Ordnance Safety, Facilities Engineering, Production Control & Transportation, Project Engineering & Management and U.S. Government Customer Representatives.
Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Ability to perform trade studies and present results to leadership

LM Lean Six Sigma Green / Black Belt certification.
Working knowledge of Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LM-MFC) production data systems (Winchill MPM-Link, Apriso, SAP), (LM MFC) test equipment and tooling hardware and document control.
Experience with design, fabrication, installation, initial calibration, prove-out and maintenance of special tools and equipment, continuous yield improvement activities, root cause and corrective action analysis, cost reduction (affordability) and post-production depot operation activities.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
